Tomi Lahren Mocks AOC With Controversial Halloween Costume

By  |

Tomi Lahren shared in a controversial tweet that she dressed as congress woman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Halloween this year and has since faced major backlash from the liberal community.

According to the trending post, Lahren dressed as the “person who scares her most.”

“The crybabies out there triggered by my Halloween costume need to calm down,” Lahren said.

Here, Lahren is seen in a brunette wig, thick-framed glasses and a Karl Marx book that she claims looks like “socialist-loving, freedom-hating, former bartender,” AOC.

Several celebrities have responded, including actress Alyssa Milano.

“Imitation is the sincerest form a flattery,” Milano said. “Also, aren’t you part of the party who claims to be for working Americans? Why say ‘bartender’ like it’s a bad thing?”

To this, Lahren quickly responded, “I mean this truly and sincerely, being a former bartender is the best and most admirable thing about AOC.”

Similarly, Chelsea Peretti also commented on the costume, joking that Lahren only dressed as AOC out of hidden admiration.

It is important to note that Lahren has openly gone against AOC before. Lahren and rapper Cardi B got into a political argument on Twitter, and AOC gave her two cents. Lahren responded to AOC’s defense saying, “I do fully acknowledge @iamcardib is smarter than YOU.”

Later, Lahren took to discussing her costume on an episode of Final Thoughts.

“I’m not afraid of ghouls, ghosts, zombies or political incorrectness,” Lahren said. “I am far more terrified AOC was actually elected to the United States Congress. Talk about a haunted ‘House.’”

Lahren has also previously expressed that she believes AOC is popular only on social media, and not in real life. AOC currently has 5.5 million twitter followers that are continuing to grow. AOC has not released a comment about Lahren’s costume at this time. However, she did respond once again to the “bartender” comments on Twitter.

“Being a working person in Congress makes me better at my job. I can’t tell you how many members don’t know what it’s like to be uninsured, or have to choose between rent and a prescription,” AOC said. “GOP seems to think that being born with a fancy last name is a personal accomplishment.”
