The Lisa Frank Renaissance is Finally Here

By  |

If you were a kid in the 1990s, Lisa Frank was probably a pivotal part of your childhood experience.

From stickers to notebooks to those commercials starring a baby Mila Kunis, the Lisa Frank explosion was everywhere, making it a staple of ’90s culture.

It may have seemed like the chaotically rainbow brand was on the way out, but, lucky for us, it’s not! Lisa Frank is making a huge comeback right now.

This past week, popular K-pop group BTS was featured on Paper Magazine’s cover with Lisa Frank’s designs behind them. This reportedly “broke the internet.”

Similarly, not long ago, Lisa Frank was featured in a pop-up hotel, where visitors could stay in a Lisa Frank dream house.

However, Lisa Frank herself is an extremely private person. She often doesn’t do intervews or show her face in them. Frank started the company in 1979, and continues to lead it in 2019. While the hotel, BTS shoot and more have been dropped, Frank has not commented on anything at this time. Most recently, Frank designed the logo for John Mayer’s 2019 show, Current Mood.
