Kristen Bell Returns to Narrate ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot

Get your T-Mobile Sidekicks and Motorola Razrs ready, because “Gossip Girl” is back, and our favorite narrator, Kristen Bell, has signed on to the project.

According to TV Line, the original show’s creators released a statement yesterday announcing her return for the HBO Max reboot.

“Kristen Bell has always been and will always be the voice of ‘Gossip Girl,'” said the show’s production team.

Bell said she is “really excited” to return for the new series.

“It’s a fun show to watch,” Bell said.

The 10 episode reboot was announced four months ago. A new cast of Upper East side prep-school kids will be the show’s focus. Besides that information, not much else is known. The show’s original cast was invited back to potentially collaborate, but no one but Bell has been officially announced as returning.

The new series will be a change of pace from the original, with the new cast grappling with the Manhattan spy in the age of social media.

The series is set to release in May 2020.
