Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Daughter to Carry Wrestling Legacy

By  |

Simone Johnson, daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is following her family legacy and beginning her training to become a WWE Superstar. The 18-year-old will be the first-ever fourth-generation superstar in WWE history, following her great grandfather, grandfather and father. Before his daughter, Dwayne Johnson was the first third-generation superstar, so it is only right that his daughter follows in his footsteps.

“It means the world to me,” Simone Johnson said. “To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle but to carry on that legacy.”

Simone has landed a coveted spot with the diverse training group at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Not only will Simone be able to carry on her family’s legacy, but she will also be able to forge a path of her own as the first woman in her family to carry this legacy.

Simone is already receiving an amazing amount of support from family members and other celebrities. Her mother, Dany Garcia, made a touching Instagram post to show how proud she is of her daughter to carry on this family tradition.

The newcomer will be placed with legendary coaches such as Head Coach Matt Bloom and Assistant Head Coach Sara Amato.

“Simone knows she has a lot to learn,” said Bloom. “She’s hungry to learn and picks the coaches’ minds, and the veteran Superstars’, as well. She’s not going to rest on her laurels. It’s been a short time, but she’s been crushing it.”

“Simone is a wonderful girl,” Amato added. “She’s like a sponge, it’s pretty amazing. She knows what it takes to succeed and all the hard work and sacrifice that goes into it. I wouldn’t have expected anything less.”

This upcoming October, Dwayne Johnson and his ex-wife and business partner Dany Garcia will be presenting Athleticon in Atlanta, Georgia. Athleticon will be an immersive event with curated programming bringing together the best of athletics, wellness and entertainment. Folded seamlessly into the expansive and flourishing portfolios of Seven Bucks Companies and The Garcia Companies, Athleticon hopes to deliver an unforgettable experience rooted in both Garcia and Johnson’s shared passion for authenticity and strong storytelling. It is unknown if Simone will be present at the convention as well.
