The BET Awards this Sunday figured out a way to keep the show going by having all virtual performances, which was among the first surprise for viewers.
So with no audience or red carpet extravaganza, the fan focus was purely on the nominees and winners, along with the pre-produced video performances. Among the surprise winners was Lizzo but certainly not for her degree of talent. It was because she beat out Queen Bey for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist.
Fans took to Twitter to voice their shock and discontent, in some cases.
