Podcasts have become all the rage in the past couple of years. They are a good way to both educate yourself and kill time, and are perfect for your commute to and from work. March is Women’s History Month, which means it’s both time to look back over the achievements of women throughout history and to look ahead to the accomplishments of women today and tomorrow. Whether you choose to partake in Women’s History Month by supporting current female content creators or by learning about significant female-centric movements of the past, you’re doing both yourself and your community a favor just by listening. Here is a list of some of the best female-led podcasts to check out:

  1. The History Chicks podcasts cover everything from fictional women like Cinderella to historical figures like Queen Victoria and every woman in between. If you’re up for a fun approach to a history class featuring historic women and the perception of women throughout history, you’ll love this podcast.
  2. The Women Rule podcast features inspiring conversations between women who kick butt and offers lots of tangible advice on how to find your most kick-butt path in life. Guests discuss where they came from, what their struggles were and how they overcame them. This podcast offers insight into the minds of some of the biggest female bosses in the country.
  3. The Thread podcast connects threads from events in history to make sense of the present and past. In the episode “Of Ms. and Men,” Gloria Steinem’s life and career are the focus, making it perfectly appropriate for Women’s History Month.
