The 67-year-old faced between five and 29 years in prison after her was found guilty. He was sentenced by New York State Supreme Court Justice James Burke to 20 years for committing a criminal sex act on former production assistant Mimi Haley and three years for raping once-aspiring actress Jessica Mann.
Wow. 23 years for Weinstein.
Judge said “This is your first conviction, but not your first offense.”

Both women spoke in court on Wednesday prior to the sentencing, voicing their disgust with Weinstein one last time.
“Rape is not just one moment of penetration,” Mann said. “It is forever.”

Weinstein, who did not testify during the trial, made a statement to the judge before the sentencing. He said he was confused about his relationships with Haley and Mann, and he though he had a “serious friendship” with both of them.
He also mentioned the #MeToo movement, saying he believed it had gone too far.
“I am totally confused,” Weinstein said. “I think men are confused about all of this…this feeling of thousands of men and women who are losing due process, I’m worried about this country.”
Takeaways from Harvey’s self-serving statement to court:
He was “totally confused” by his relationship with the women.
He feels “remorse” for all of the men and women wrapped up in the movement.
