Review: This Multitasking Makeup Just Made Your Life Easier

By  |

Picture this: you’re running out the door late, grabbing a few essential makeup products to apply in a hurry before a long day. Which products do you choose? Your bag, pockets or hands only have so much room, and who wants to lug their whole makeup bag around with them all day?

Multifunctional makeup brand Alleyoop wants to help make that choice easier by creating compact products that include all of the essential beauty products you wear day to day. After interviewing their CEO Leila Kashani in the January/February issue of Hers Magazine, we decided to put their products to the test. Here’s what a few of our editors thought.

Multi-Mood Lip Trio

The lip trio in Mauve On is my go-to and by far my favorite Alleyoop product. I keep it in my bag at all times. It’s super convenient to have a matte, a gloss and lip color all in one for any mood or occasion. It’s my signature color and goes with everything I wear — whether I’m running errands or going out with friends. Thankfully, the compact, three-in-one design keeps me from having to carry three different lip products around with me. – Brittany Maher, Senior Editor

I tried the lip trio in Wear and Terra, and I’m a big fan of the flattering color and the formula! The matte lipstick is super long-lasting and the gloss is easy to put on and run out the door. I get a little less use out of the cream lipstick (just due to my personal preference for matte colors), but I think it’s a great option for people who like cream lipsticks. – Gabby Dance, Managing and Online Editor

Multi-Tasker 4-in-1 Makeup Brush

My favorite part about Alleyoop is that they’re vegan and cruelty free, which makes me feel confident in the products I’m using. The multi-brush cuts my makeup routine in half! – Katiee McKinstry, Social Media Manager

11th Hour Eyeshadow sticks

The eyeshadow sticks in Charcolit and Coffee Break have become staples in my daily makeup routine. It takes me only a few seconds to apply these, blend them out and be ready to go. I love their versatility and build-ability, too. There are so many possibilities for looks with these! In this picture, I wore a sheer wash of Coffee Break all over my lid and used Charcolit as an eyeliner. – Gabby Dance, Managing and Online Editor

Stack the Odds Multi-Use Face Palette

To be 100 percent honest, I’ve never been one to enjoy cream bronzer products. I’ve tried and failed many times to master the art of flawlessly blending out a skillfully placed cream contour chart. That being said, I surprisingly love this product in the Sunkissed color. I apply the bronzer and blush with my fingers right after putting on my foundation and concealer and then top it all off with my translucent powder. I use the highlighting cream when I am going for a more natural highlight than my usual extra blinding Fenty beauty highlighter. These are super creamy, so they blend out really easily. Be warned though, they are SUPER pigmented. A little goes a long way with these! – Gabby Dance, Managing and Online Editor

Slow Your Roll All Natural Hair-Inhibiting Deodorant

I’ve tried out a few all-natural deodorants, but I’ve never found one that didn’t leave me a sweaty mess by the end of the day until this one. I tried out the Sage scented one, and it smelled amazing. While this deodorant doesn’t last as long without re-applying as my tried and true practice of using Old Spice Wolfthorn (it lasts way longer than any women-marketed deodorant I’ve tried and smells pretty good), its lack of toxic chemicals and incredible scent make it worth the extra applications in my book. Our editor in chief, Annette Johnson, also tried out this deodorant and loved it! – Gabby Dance, Managing and Online Editor
