‘Friends’ is Leaving Netflix in 2020

It’s official, “Friends” will be leaving Netflix in 2020. Netflix announced the sitcom will be taken off its streaming service on Jan. 1, 2020, via its official show page.

This should come as no surprise, as Netflix tried to remove “Friends” last year on Jan. 1, 2019. However, fans have taken to Twitter to show they are just as frustrated as before.

With NBC announcing its new streaming service, users have speculated whether they are purposefully pulling their most popular shows off Netflix entirely, like “Friends” and “The Office.” However, each time they have tried to remove their shows, they end up signing with Netflix for another year. Who’s to say that won’t happen again? Only time will tell.
