Harry Styles Announces New Album Release Date

By  |

One of our fave feminist celebs, Harry Styles, announced today on Twitter that his new album, “Fine Line,” will be released on Dec. 13, 2019, and the internet is, of course, freaking out.

This album follows the recent release of his newest single, “Lights Up,” an uplifting pop song accompanied by an equally colorful video.

The new album will likely be followed by a 2020 tour, which Styles hinted at in a recent interview with the Capital Breakfast Show.

The former One Direction member, whose fanbase mostly consists of young women, is a well-known supporter of feminist issues. He said in a recent interview with Rolling Stone that the “ideals of feminism” are “pretty straight forward.”

“People think that if you say ‘I’m a feminist,’ it means you think men should burn in hell and women should trample on their necks,” Styles said. “No, you think women should be equal. That doesn’t feel like a crazy thing to me. I grew up with my mum and my sister β€” when you grow up around women, your female influence is just bigger.”

He also expressed his gratitude for his fervent female fans.

He’s been a supporter of the movement for years. He supported Emma Watson’s He for She campaign in 2014.
