5 Female Celebrities Who Are Dominating TikTok During Quarantine

By  |

When restaurants, schools, movie theatres, museums and just about all other enjoyable places are closed, what is there left for the people of the world to do? At this point, just about everyone, as rapper Tyga says in his popular song featured on TikTok, is “bored in the house, in the house bored.”

When TikTok—a popular app that is the leading destination for short-form mobile video—was launched in the United States in 2017, it quickly became one of the most popular social platforms among consumers, having generated more than 100 million users within its first year.

Because the app acts as a social network, where users share videos covering a wide range of categories, from lip syncing to comedic skits to viral challenges to provide entertainment, it has become quite the go-to activity for quarantined folk– especially celebrities—as interaction with it doesn’t require leaving the safety of home.

So far, these five female celebrities have been dominating TikTok and keeping us all amused during these unusual times.

Vanessa Hudgens

While most people remember her from her role in the “High School Musical” sequels, others are getting to know her through her rising popularity on TikTok. The actress and singer has used the app to master-mind some very cute—and funny—videos for all of her fans to enjoy, including one of her and former castmate, Ashley Tisdale, singing along to a “High School Musical” favorite, “We’re All in this Together”.

Lizzo

After she dominated the music industry, singer Lizzo brought her talents to TikTok, but she claims the platform keeps removing her bathing suit pictures.  “TikTok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits,” Lizzo wrote over a clip of her lip-syncing the words “I know.” She complained that it allows other videos with girls in bathing suits. “I wonder why? TikTok we need to talk.”

Reginae Carter

In one of her most recent TikTok uploads, Reginae Carter can be seen stuntin’ like her daddy (Lil Wayne) as she reenacts her father’s 2012 deposition video from a lawsuit he’d filed against producers who made the rap documentary “The Carter.” In another, the young entertainer reenacted a scene from “Tyler Perry’s A Fall from Grace”. Thumbs up to Reginae for keeping us all laughing!

Jessica Alba

The “LA Finest” actress has definitely been keeping eyeballs tuned to Tik Tok, as she has been keeping us smiling during quarantine with her dance moves. In performing her rendition of Savage,” Alba even got the attention of the song’s performer Megan Thee Stallion, who shared the video on her IG page, where it went viral.

Skai Jackson

She rose to fame on Disney Channel, but the child star is all grown up now and using her TikTok platform to have some fun! Jackson’s TikTok videos are cool, lively and all-around entertaining. In one of her most recent videos, she created her own at-home, contamination-free birthday party while dancing to rapper 50 Cent’s “In Da Club.”
