Wildlife Photography Leaves Safari Ball Roaring for Joy

By  |

Guests stampeded into the Young Adventurers Annual Safari Ball for a fun filled evening dedicated to raising funds for this nonprofit organization. The philanthropic night included an amazing show by Michael Israel, who created a masterpiece of art that was auctioned off shortly after. The evening was comprised of operatic singers, authentic Chinese dancers, bikers supporting Trump and a “safari-chic” dress theme that created a wild carnival-like atmosphere.

The 2018 Safari Night Ball benefiting Young Adventurers, Inc. was hosted in the exquisite Mar-A-Lago Grand Ballroom by honorary chairs Jim and Elizabeth Trump-Grau (Jim was not present). This annual event is the primary fundraiser for Young Adventurers.

“This has to be one of the most fun events I’ve attended at Mar-A-Lago,” said Adrienne Mazzone, President of TransMedia Group.  “It was fun seeing everyone’s wild come out in their wardrobe and being in such a philanthropic crowd,” added Mazzone.Laura Crawford Williams, safari ball, 2018, Wildlife in Wild Lands, nature book, photography

In attendance amongst the lions, tigers and giraffes was author and award-winning wildlife photographer, Laura Crawford Williams. At the event, Williams was happy to sign her newly released book, Wildlife in Wild Lands: Photography for Conservation in Southern South America, for excited guests and adventurers.

The book takes readers on a wild ride through South America in 244 vivid pages filled with Laura’s breathtaking photography throughout her eight-year journey in South America’s robust landscapes.

Laura and her partner, German Ambrosetti, created Frontera Wildlife Adventures, a nonprofit company focused on conservation projects and education. Her hard work and dedication in the field of conservation was honored on stage by Mrs. Trump Grau alongside Terry Bowman. After acknowledging Laura’s achievements, they graciously accepted an autographed book.

The book’s exclusive images embody the dramatic landscapes and fierce animals of South America and resonate with a strong theme of conservation. A key goal of this book and the Safari Ball is to motivate people to connect to a world in dire need of exposure thousands of miles away.
