Knowing Your ‘Power Type’ Could Save Your Life

By  |

Drawing inspiration from conventional medicine, Chinese medicine, and Ayurveda, “Super Woman RX” is a PBS Special about individualizing woman’s health needs through Power Typing.

Super Woman RX Taz BhatiaAccording to Dr. Tasneem Bhatia, known as “Dr. Taz,” knowing your power type is an important consideration in individual wellness. “Knowing your power type gives you a window into your chemistry and emotional landscape so you can take some of the guesswork out of how to eat and exercise, even what kind of beauty regimen to follow or what supplements to consider taking,” says Dr. Taz.

So, what power type are you? Dr. Taz provides a quiz on her website so women can determine if they are:

  • Boss Lady
  • Savvy Chick
  • Gypsy Girl
  • Earth Mama
  • Nightingale

After taking the online quiz, I received the “Boss Lady” result. This type says that I am a “strong leader, commanding, gets things done… at the same time, this strength and intensity can lead to digestive issues like acid reflux disease, irritable bowel, constipation or difficulty sleeping.”

I am a hard worker; that much is true. However, I’m not the leading type and I’ll only take charge if I have to. I think this is one of those tests where you have to take extra time to really think about your overall health.

Like a person’s blood type or body type, Dr. Taz says that knowing your Power Types can help to create a wellness plan for women to achieve their best health and even discover their personality superpowers.

Dr. Taz is a board-certified integrative medicine physician and wellness expert, who gained national recognition as a best-selling author of the books “What Doctors Eat,” “The 21 Day Belly Fix,” and now “Super Woman RX. She will be featured on a PBS special airing Saturday, November 24th. Check your local listings for times.
