Happy Women’s Equality Day!

On August 26th, the U.S. celebrates one of the biggest American women’s achievements in its history: the passing of the Nineteenth Amendment of the Constitution. The Nineteenth Amendment gave most women the right to vote.  While U.S. women have attained great parity since then, other countries are outpacing them in terms of equality.

The U.S. ranks number 45 out of  144 countries, according to wallethub.com. That’s 17 positions down from 2016’s 28th rank. Wallethub, a personal finance website, has taken an in depth look at this new low rank by rating all 50 states based on 15 specific indicators. Take a look at the top 5 best and 5  worst states for women’s equality.
