Summer to Fall Fashion: Transitional Pieces of Power

By  |

As we start our journey from the dog days of summer to cooler climate temps, there are some key pieces I want to recommend to help you weather your style storms.

Depending on where you live, you might already be starting the descent into cooler temperatures, but normally July is the hottest month of the year. Thus, you want to wear fabrics that move and breathe, like lightweight cottons and linens. So let’s talk about key transitional pieces that will help you fall into fall.

During the summer heat, a good choice might be a t-shirt and distressed denim. But as it cools off, you can still wear that same look by just adding a plaid shirt or leather jacket and changing the sandals to boots. Voila! You’ve transitioned into a super cool look that took little to no thought.

What about that cute little leather mini you wear with a tank? Let’s switch out the tank to a denim shirt and roll up the sleeves. Add tights and you’re in business.  Isn’t that the goal: to always look effervescently fashionable?
