Small Boutiques, Big Statements

By  |

Those of you who love supporting emerging designers and appreciate the inspiration that drives them, we got a rare treat on Saturday, July 28 at “Small Boutique Fashion Week,” held at Atlanta Banquets in Suwanee, GA. The venue was draped in Swarovski Crystal Chandeliers and featured an illuminated dance floor with flashing lights to set the mood.

Fifteen designers from around the country highlighted their amazing, colorful RTW collections. The atmosphere was one of intrigue and delight as designers, make-up artists and hair stylists rustled behind the scenes preparing for showtime. Designers flew in from NY, LA, Florida, Chicago and Alabama prepared to ‘wow’ a select fashionable audience. It was amazing to watch creative minds turn mere thoughts into striking pieces that graced the runways.

Of course, some designers stood out more than others, but it was exciting to see these future designers bring their A-game to Atlanta through flattering hemlines for all sizes and lace metallic jackets that perused the floor with confident attitudes. Designers to watch out for include Dreu Beckemberg, Joy Echo and Annette Lyons. You definitely have not seen the last of them.

Here are some of Hers’ favorite looks from the event:
