Cool Girls Presents:

The Pink Pin Bowl 2017

Sunday, October 15, 2017
Midtown Bowl
1936 Piedmont Circle NE
Atlanta, GA 30324

Cool Girls, an Atlanta based non-profit, is hosting their annual Pink Pin Bowl at Midtown Bowl Fundraiser! The fundraiser will raise money to support the organization’s mission to serve at-risk girls through mentorship, after school programs on health and life-skills, and academic support.

The Pink Pin Bowl is a signature event for Cool Girls. This year, we’re inviting corporate and community leaders to form teams within their companies, alumni associations, and community groups to raise funds for Cool Girls. Teams will be encouraged to create themes around their team names and will compete for the Team Spirit Award. The team that raises the most money will host the Pink Pin Trophy in their offices for the next year. Not only will teams raise funds to support the growth and strength of girls in Atlanta, but they’ll be reminded of team values like sportsmanship and collaboration.
-Tanya Egins, Executive Director, Cool Girls

Since 1989, Cool Girls has been dedicated to the self-empowerment of at-risk girls in Atlanta. Each year, the organization reaches over 350 girls breaking the cycle of poverty, low self-esteem, and teen pregnancy through a variety of programs offered at partner Atlanta Public and Dekalb County Title 1 public schools.

On Saturday October 21, 2017, the Take a Stand, Stop the Hurt walk will commence at Greenbriar Mall to unite communities, organizations, businesses, and public officials with shared determination to stop domestic violence and raise awareness. Created by author and inspirational speaker Nikki Payne, this walk will honor the lives of her children, 2-year old Chasmin Payne and 7-year old Kevin Bridges, who were both murdered as a result of domestic violence in 2007.
I truly believe my life’s purpose is to use my story to provide support and inspire others who face adversity
-Nikki Payne
Since the tragedy, she has traveled around the country to do just that, and is eager to continue her efforts through the Take a Stand, Stop the Hurt Atlanta Walk. Attendees will have the choice to participating in teams or individually, and will also be treated to complimentary snacks, beverages, and a signature t-shirt.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Home of Hope Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, a residential care facility for homeless children and their young mothers.
