Netflix Bringing Creepy Cuisine to Streaming Lineup
Netflix has announced that it will be bringing the horror-inspired crafts of Christine McConnell to its streaming lineup.
Titled “The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell,” the series will be produced by the Jim Henson Company and Wilshire Studios. After an announcement from The Hollywood Reporter, McConnell offered some hints about the show on her Instagram, describing it as “Set in a spooky manor house; I’ll be crafting, baking and conjuring with creatures from the Henson Alternative and several other ‘unique’ residents…”
An artist, photographer, and baker, McConnell has garnered a audience of over 250,000 followers on Instagram due in part to her horror-influenced treats, including Frankenstein cake, giant spider fruit salad, and evil gingerbread men.
An official release date has not been set, though Netflix has released a cast that includes Colleen Smith and Michael Oosterom alongside McConnell.
