Is Valentine’s Day Good for Romance?

By  |  0 Comments

“This institution of Valentines Day is it itself, good for romance?,” asked OkCupid engineer Tom Jacques.

Match scientific adviser Helen Fisher argued that it is, while WNYC host Manoush Zomorodi and sociologist Eric Klinenberg countered that it definitely is not. These diverse panelists may inspire more debates raising questions such as:

  • Is happiness on Valentine’s Day situational based on your relationship status?
  • Is it important to have a holiday set aside for love or is it too demanding?
  • Do long-term couples have to make Valentine’s Day special if they’re romantic throughout the year?
