Huma Abedin Requests $2 Million for Her Memoir

Huma Abedin is finally ready to speak but it’s going to cost. Abedin, former aide of the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the estranged wife of former congressman Anthony Weiner, is shopping around a possible memoir to tell her personal and professional experience. According to the Huffington Post, Abedin is asking publishers for about $2 million to write her memoir. Abedin’s story includes two newsworthy political events of the past decade and how it collided.

In August 2016, Abedin and Weiner separated after it was released Weiner was sexting with a young woman while their son was in the room. This isn’t Weiner’s first bust though. He was caught in 2011 and 2013 sending nude pictures via text but Abedin stayed by his side. The last time has landed him in more trouble than previously because the young woman is allegedly underage.

As her personal life continued to unravel because of the investigation of Weiner, her professional life began to do the same. Days before the 2016 presidential elections, the FBI revealed confidential information was found in emails pertaining to Clinton’s position as Secretary of State. This contributed to Clinton’s stigma of mishandling national security information and possibly affected the 2016 election.

This could be the first-time Abedin speaks frankly about her husband’s infidelity. It’s definitely a perfect time since it intertwines with one of the biggest shakeups of 2016.
