How to Make the Super Bowl a Little More Fun

It's that time of year again. Your house has a vague smell of hot sauce and cheese, there's an abundance of beer taking up the space in your refrigerator, and your largest TV in the house is about to be commandeered. This is the day that comes every February when men plan ahead for the perfect evening of food, laughter, and entertainment, and no, unfortunately it isn't Valentine's Day. You've guessed it ladies, it's time for the Super Bowl again. 

While your husband is downing beer after beer, you can get your drink on too with these specialty Super Bowl themed cocktails. It'll make your husbands ranting about tackles, penalties, and how many times the Patriots have been to the Super Bowl more bearable. The halftime show will be better, and the commercials will be even funnier. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the big game.


This cocktail features a liqueur made from real coffee so you can finish the game with as much energy as you started.

2 oz Carpano Antica Formula
1 oz Lock Stock & Barrel Rye 18 Year
1 tsp. Borghetti Coffee Liqueur
1 dash Mole Bitters

Method: Stir and Strain

Garnish: Orange Twist

This citrusy concoction will keep you excited and refreshed all the way through the fourth quarter.


2 oz Templeton Rye 6 Year
.5 oz Fernet-Branca
1 bar spoon Coffee Syrup
3 dashes Scrappy’s Orange Bitters 

Method: Stir and Strain over ice

Garnish: Orange  Twist




This cocktail features an MVP Vodka, launched by two former football pros, and is a lively drink to enjoy during the always-entertaining halftime show.

1.5 oz MVP Lemonberry Vodka
.75 oz Lemon juice
.25 oz Real cranberry juice
.50 oz Aperol
.50 oz St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
2 Mint leaves

Method: Combine ingredients in a mixing tin, shake vigorously until properly diluted. Strain cocktail using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer.

Garnish: Fresh Sprig of Mint

2 oz Crystal Head Aurora
4 oz Lemonade
3 oz Fever Tree ginger beer
Smoked orange wedges

Method: Add Crystal Head Aurora, lemonade, Fever Tree ginger beer and smoked orange wedges into a shaker with ice.  Shake very well then pour

Fire and Rye

This hot drink will spice up the game for you and all your guests.

1 ½ oz Hochstadter’s Slow & Low Whiskey
2 pressed Jalapeños
2 oz pink lemonade
Splash of soda water

Method: Combine ingredients and shake well

Garnish: Lemon twist

Adult Milkshake 

This adult milkshake is rich and creamy with warm, spiced notes and is a perfect post-game treat to celebrate a win or comfort you through a loss.

2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 oz banana liqueur
.5 oz Zaya Rum

Method: Combine ingredients in a blender and blend, pour into glass 

Garnish: Cinnamon
