Amy Schumer Asks Fans for Baby Pics Amidst ‘Tough’ Pregnancy

The famous standup comedian is appealing to fans for uplifting photos of their children to give her some motivation.

The 37-year-old star of films such as I Feel Pretty, Snatched and Trainwreck, announced in October that she and husband Chris Fischer are expecting their first child. However, the comedian continues to experience issues with hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme version of morning sickness that recently landed her in the hospital. This condition can cause pregnant women to experience severe dehydration and weight loss as a result.

Schumer took to Instagram on Thursday to ask her fans to post pictures of their children as a “light at the end of the tunnel” reminder for her. Along with the message, she also posted a picture of her Tatiana:

Schumer has shared a lot regarding her pregnancy journey on social media, including a post from earlier this month when she was forced to cancel several shows in Dallas after a visit to the hospital. “I’m fine. Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows,” she wrote at the time. “Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bull—!”

Since then, the comedian has had to cancel other shows and has apologized to fans each time, but promises to make it up to them once she feels better. “I love doing stand-up more than anything and I hate cancelling shows. I have to postpone some until I feel human again,” she wrote earlier this week in the caption of an Instagram video that showed her throwing up before a show in Tarrytown, New York. Schemer warns fans that, if they have weak stomaches, to turn off the sound beforehand.

On social media, Schumer has received an enormous amount of support from her fans and well-wishers. Here’s hoping that she recovers soon and that she and her baby are happy and healthy.
